Elvira (or Vera as she prefers to be known) is a spirited, outgoing, and carefree young woman -- a wild child of sorts. The first wife of mystery author Charles Condomine, Vera loved her husband very much. Right up until a particularly bad bout of pneumonia took her from him. But that doesn't mean she stopped loving him. Oh no. In fact, now that the dotty medium has brought her back, she's determined to see her and Charles spend eternity together.
